Monterosso al Mare

Monterosso al Marre is the first of the five Cinque Terre’s villages when you travel from west.

We based our stay in this village. Compared to the other villages, Monterosso is relatively flat and is the only one that has a proper beach. I image the beach would be crowded on summer but not in winter with its ferocious waves and wind.

I felt homey in this village, especially because our B&B was excellent complete with a mini kitchen like a NZ motel. As a bonus there was no stairs required to reach our room, yey! Also, Claudia, the owner was very nice to us. So peeps if you travel to Cinque Terre, stay at I Coralli B&B.
